Both teams would send crafty veterans to the mound after a few innings of scrappy baseball they would tire and those scrappy offenses then strung together some runs. To lead off the second inning the Braves would get a runner by the first of the Peppers 3 errors, they would later push that run across with an RBI double off the bat of Jordan Brennen. Pleasant Gap knew they would have to keep pace if they wanted to be around at the end so they manufactured a run from a hit batsmen that would come home on a 2 out RBI single. The Peppers generated another 2 out run in the 4th aided by 2 errors. With starting Pitcher Tyler James cruising through 5 the Pepper defense would generate some offense for the Braves, an error and a single had Spring Mills ready to move ahead Allen Cain would lace a double and plate the tying run and a run pushed across from a fielders choice would give them the lead as winning pitcher Doylan Dietrich would come in and get some much needed outs. Rich Auman would start the bottom half of the inning but Pleasant gap would load the bases with no outs and hadn’t hit a ball out of the infield, Tyler Lalli would sky a single in to short center that would tie the game once more. Relief pitcher Jordan Brennen would walk Wyatt Belinda the first batter he would face and give the Peppers all the runs they would need, they would tack on yet another 2 before ending their turn at bat. With a 3 run lead Dietrich would allow a couple runners but never let the go ahead runner reach the plate.
